Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital (OLLH) demonstrates its expertise in advanced and therapeutic endoscopy to answer the needs of patients for procedures utilizing endoscopy amidst the pandemic.
Since the lockdown in March 2020, the OLLH – Center for Advanced and Therapeutic Endoscopy has been the only fully operational Endoscopy Center among Metro Pacific Hospitals last year. It offers patients with all 24 of its advanced and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including the Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS). OLLH prides itself as one of the pioneering hospitals to house an EUS in the Philippines, and as the only Metro Pacific Hospital to offer the said procedure, which makes it the OLLH – Endoscopy Center’s flagship procedure.
It further sets itself apart with its affordable and competitive pricing and roster of board-certified and experienced gastroenterologists, digestive endoscopists, bronchoscopists, otorhinolaryngologists, and support staff who work to address the increasing number of gastrointestinal disorders that can be treated with minimally invasive procedures utilizing endoscopy.
This year, the Center continues to welcome patients to their SAFE PLACE for advanced and therapeutic endoscopy. In accordance with the guidelines released by the Philippine Society of Digestive Endoscopy, it performs procedures while maintaining physical distancing with only a minimum number of highly skilled support staff inside the procedure room, and schedules them with two-hour intervals for the diffusion of aerosols and disinfection.
More importantly, it operates with a designated room for suspected, probable, and confirmed COVID-19 patients admitted in OLLH, which also serves as the recovery bay for the patients post-procedure. On top of that, each room in the Center is installed with High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter as part of its disinfection protocol.
