Principal Responsibility:

• The Shift Officer is responsible in managing the nursing staff and deliver quality patient care within all nursing units for the duration of an assigned period. He / She is tasked to collaborate with the Unit Manager in addressing clinical and administrative needs and concerns relative to nursing care while maximizing the tools of management in facilitating quality patient care. He/She also establishes a system of effective coordination and communication with other departments within the hospital for a more systematic delivery of health care.

Position Specifications:

• Must be a BS Nursing graduate
• With Master’s Degree unit
• Must have participated in and passed leadership and management seminars in clinical nursing
• Must have two (2) years direct patient care in Medical-Surgical and/or area of specialty
• Must have three (3) years of head nursing experience

Qualifications:

• Must be a PRC Board Passer (Nursing Licensure)
• Must have a Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate/ID
• Intravenous Therapy (IVT) certificate/ID
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificate/ID
